A project is something with a clear end goal, like making a movie, creating and releasing an album, or funding prints for your photography. A project will be completed and something will be produced as a result.

What is not allowed?
• Funding The Arts cannot be used to raise money for causes, whether it's Redcross, scholarship funds, or bills.
• FundingTheArts cannot be used to sell equity or solicit loans.
• Projects cannot resell products or offer rewards not produced by the artist/project creator.
• Creators cannot promise to donate a portion of the funds raised to a cause.
• Projects cannot offer alcohol as a reward.
• No offensive material (hate speech,etc.) or pornographic material.
• No tobacco, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

A: Unlike any other crowd-funding website, Funding The Arts is a crowd-funding platform created just for artists. Funding The Arts is also a place to discover what Artist's all around the world are passionate about and how you can get involved.
Q: Who uses Funding The Arts?
A: Artist's of all types; including but not limited to music artists, photographers, painters, sculpture, jewelry makers, etc., from all over the world - both to raise money for their art projects and to contribute to other artist's passions. If you are an artist, then you can use FundingTheArts.org as long as you have a valid bank account.
Q: Why do people contribute to campaigns?
A: People contribute to art project campaigns for many reasons, but usually it's because they want to be involved in what the campaign is doing or because they want the perks that are part of the campaign.
Q: How much does Funding The Arts cost?
A: Funding The Arts is free to join. There is a fee on any money that is raised, which is 5% of the money you raise if you meet your goal or 9% if you do not meet your goal. For more information on our fees, see our article: Pricing and Fees.
Q: Are contributions tax-deductible?
A: Contributions are not tax-deductible.
Q: Who do I contact if I have a question about my contribution?
A: If you have a question about a perk, shipping address or need to provide additional information for your contribution, contact the campaign owner. For all other questions please email support@fundingthearts.org.
Q: Can I cancel my account?
A: You can cancel your account as long as you have not raised any money. Accounts that have raised money must remain active. Contact support@fundingthearts.org to cancel your account or campaign.
Q: Is anyone artist in the world able to create a campaign?
A: Funding The Arts is an international platform, so any artist with a bank account can start a campaign.
Q: What if I don't reach my funding goal?
A: If your campaign is setup as a Flexible Funding, you will be able to keep the funds you raise, even if you don't meet your goal. If your campaign is set up as a Fixed Funding, all contributions will be returned to your funders if you do not meet your goal. Flexible Funding campaigns that meet their goal are only charged 4% as our platform fee, whereas campaigns that do not meet their goal are charged 9%.
